Make an Eternal Difference in the Lives of Children...Have a summer 5-Day Club!
For 1 1/4 hour each day, for five consecutive days, children (ages 3-12) gather in backyards, churches (even used as a VBS), daycare centers, apartment complexes, community centers, schools, etc... to hear Bible lessons, sing songs, learn Bible verses, listen to a missionary story, play games, and hear the Gospel clearly presented. This year's theme is Jesus My Savior and Friend, and the missionary story is Hudson Taylor.
5-Day Clubs are taught by trained adults and teens from around our area. Using provided invitations, a host invites neighborhood children to their own home or other location to attend club, serves a simple snack, and helps with follow-up on children as needed.
We are including an attachment of a 5-Day Club announcement that you can use in your church bulletin or newsletter. Thank you!
How Can You Help?
1. Pray for the children of our area and for this special summer outreach to be fruitful and honoring to our Lord Jesus.
2. Serve in a 5-Day Club(s) by helping or teaching. Teens may also serve. See May 31st training details below.
3. Open your home/location to have a CEF trained team come and present a 5-Day Club sometime during the time period of June 23-August 15 . Available club times are: 10:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 3:30 p.m., and 6:30 p.m.
4. Drive a CYIA teen summer missionary team in your area of the Metro to a 5-Day Club(s). We are trusting God for drivers who can commit to a particular week(s) during the summer to help with transportation. This is a great need!
5. Provide a meal (lunch or dinner) for one of our traveling summer missionary teams.
6. Give to help make this ministry possible. There are several expenses for the 5-Day Club ministry--travel, meals for teams, summer missionary financial support, & club supplies (tracts, Bibles, follow-up materials, prizes, refreshments, etc...).
For further information on these opportunities, please contact Christy today--see above. Thank you! |

It is not against the law to teach God's Word in public schools!
On June 11, 2001 the U.S. Supreme Court decided that Good News Clubs must be granted the same access to school facilities as afforded any other non-religious organization.
As a result, over 1,800 children (and growing!) in our area are now attending
47 weekly GOOD NEWS CLUBS in their public elementary schools!
The door of opportunity is open now! Are you ready to make a difference?
We also have new elementary schools waiting NOW to be adopted. Please pray for:
*Kansas City, MO district: East & Woodland,
*Openings in other districts of Olathe, Independence, Grandview,
Park Hill, Leavenworth, Lee's Summit, and Hickman Mills
Join us in taking the gospel of Christ to boys and girls this school year..."Adopt-A-School"!
Hundreds of area children are attending weekly GOOD NEWS CLUBS in their public elementary schools! The door of opportunity is open now!
During the 2006-07 school year, over 1,700 children each week attended 44 after-school Good News Clubs in public elementary schools throughout our Greater Kansas City area. At least 280 of those children were counseled for salvation! With nearly 600 elementary schools in our local area, we are praying to see a Good News Club in every school in each district! Since 2004, Good News Clubs have been held in 14 school districts: Lee’s Summit, Olathe, Grandview, Belton, Kansas City, MO, Kansas City, KS, Shawnee Mission, Leavenworth, Hickman Mills, Park Hill, Independence, Edwardsville, Blue Springs, and Raymore/Peculia |
